Community Organising & SIM Pilot in Jordan: Amman

photo(4) photo(5)CF members helped organise a pilot project around Community Organising and SIM in Jordan, Amman. CF worked with colleagues in the region via online Skype and digital sessions training individuals to understand the SIM (Street Interaction Model) which was developed by CF members, as well as touching on aspects of Community Organising techniques. The aim of this pilot was to observe whether these types of methodologies could allow for community engagement in different geographical regions of the world. These models and methodologies aim to interact with individuals and try to build positive relationships which can help promote social change and social action. These pilots are important to help understand diverse cultures and societies. These methodologies of community engagement can be flexible and moulded to suit different environments and context. CF aims to work with grassroots communities locally and across the world.
