Mohammed Nadeem a CFL board member undertook a charity bike challenge on behalf of CFL. He cycled over 50 miles over a five day period in early March. He was supporting an international Foundation which delivers activities for Medical students living in difficult environments. He dedicated this charity bike challenge to the memory of Mohammed Shabaz (1985-2005) a dearly loved community member who took part in many youth projects in the past. The target for this charity project was £100. However more than a dozen people donated kindly and £365 was raised in total. Nadeem said “I really enjoyed this bike challenge, it wasn’t easy cycling in the early morning cold, rain and wind but I endured and completed the challenge successfully. I am really proud to have raised money for charity and also dedicating this challenge to a friend. I hope to undertake further challenges for charity in the future”. CFL are committed to social change through social action.
